Hello all!

Sorry that we have not posted in so many days. We do have some very exciting updates for you!!! Let me start by giving you William's counts for the day:

ANC: 5.06 (above .5 is good)
WBC: 6.50 (needs to be between 5.0-19.5)
PLT: 165 (needs to be between 150-450)

William has also started eating some. (cheerios, pretzels, peanut butter crackers and starburst are in the repertoire so far). He is still very nauseated by smells (cooked food, breath... anything can trigger him) but as long as he stays clear from them, he seems to keep things down. (He takes room spray with him in the halls in case someone walks down with food in their hands. He also sprays cologne inside his shirt and lifts it up over his nose if something "stinks" to him. FUNNY GUY!
The physicians are tapering him off certain meds and moving him to all oral medications. Now that he has started to keep food and his oral meds down, the discharge date is approaching! Dr. Rosenblatt came in today and told me that if Will continues to eat and keeps the meds down, that he would like to discharge William on Monday. This Sunday marks the 10th Sunday in a row that William has been in the hospital.

This is one more big step in the process of William being healed. We give thanks to God for this wonderful gift and we thank you for your prayers, gifts, and words of encouragement.
